A Tale of Two Venues

BACA

Our home ground is incorporated into the Brighton Aldridge Community Academy, the new academy which replaced the old Falmer High school, and features a brand new artificial wicket set in front of the impressive Academy buildings. Stanmer 2 and Stanmer Colts play the majority of their home games here, while Hadlow Down & Moulsecoomb Wanderers CC  play several fixtures here over the summer.

With regards training facilities, the club enjoys access to the state-of-the-art four lane nets in the BACA sports hall, and trains outdoors on the artificial wicket with the help of a roll-on batting cage. While we await the construction of the new sports pavilion, the plans for which can be viewed here, we are able to use the academy facilities for changing and tea-making.

Hadlow Down

Hadlow Down & Moulsecoomb Wanderers CC have played at Hadlow Down since 2006, when the nomadic Moulsecoomb Wanderers were invited to treat it as their home. Both Stanmer 1 and HD&MWCC play the majority of their home games here.
